Chennai Ended Tour on a High

Durban: Chennai Super Kings ended their Champions League Twenty20 campaign on a high as they clinched comfortable four-wicket victory over Yorkshire at Kingsmead in Durban on Monday.

Chennai Super Kings suffered a massive blow when they lost Suresh Raina.

Raina tried to revive Chennai chase as he added 48-run third wicket partnership with Subramaniam Badrinath after losing Faf du Plessis and Murali Vijay in quick succession.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby ended the crucial stand by removing Raina to give Yorkshire vital breakthrough.

Yorkshire pacer Steven Patterson struck to give Chennai Super Kings early jolt as he dismissed du Plessis.

Earlier, Gary Ballance smashed five sixes in his 58 runs knock to steer Yorkshire to a challenging 140/6 against Chennai Super Kings.

Gary Ballance and David Miller shared 78-run stand to resurrect Yorkshire after losing quick wickets against CSK.

Yorkshire got off to a bad start as they suffered early blows, losing Andrew Gale, Adam Lyth and Joe Root in quick succession.

Albie Morkel struck to give Chennai first breakthrough as he dismissed Gale. Ben Hilfenhaus joined Morkel in the next over to give Yorkshire another jolt by removing Lyth.

Morkel notched up another wicket in his next over to leave Yorkshire tottering at 43/3 in 8 overs.
