Parvez Rasool to Join Pune Warriors

Mumbai: Pune have signed J&K off-spinner Parvez Rasool for the forthcoming IPL season. Rasool took 7-45 for Board President's XI against Australia and has been snapped up by the franchise in an effort to boost its spin attack.

"He is a bowling allrounder and we feel he can play an important role for us," a Pune source said. Rasool will be the first player from J&K to play in the IPL.

The formalities are yet to be completed but the franchise is in the process of signing Rasool, a Warriors official confirmed.
