West Indies v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Trinidad

New Zealand Look to Seal The Series

Port-of-Spain: New Zealand will look to clinch an away series victory for the first time in 12 years.

New Zealand are currently on a roll in Test cricket. Having defeated West Indies 2-0 in December, they defeated India 1-0 and have been undefeated for the last eight Tests.

The last overseas Test series win for New Zealand was against the West Indies in 2002 and they will be hoping that they can repeat this feat when the second Test starts.

With their 186-run win in Jamaica, New Zealand are brimming with confidence. They have made some changes to the team with the out of form Peter Fulton getting dropped and Hamish Rutherford getting picked to open the batting with Tom Latham.

The West Indies, on the other hand, have made some changes to the squad with Marlon Samuels and Kieran Powell getting the axe for this Test. Following the batting failures,he selectors have summoned uncapped batsmen Jermaine Blackwood and Leon Johnson. West Indies have lost the last five out of their last six Tests and they will be desperate to reverse the trend in Trinidad.

However, Kemar Roach, who has performed well in the past in Port-of-Spain, was upbeat about West Indies' chances here.

Denesh Ramdin has hinted that the bowling composition may also change depending on the track in Trinidad. He hinted that Shannon Gabriel could feature in this match and they will take a call on Shane Shillingford's fitness just before the start of the match.
