AB de Villiers Hits Century in Warm-up Game

Mumbai: AB de Villiers continued his fine form in India with another century as South Africa and an Indian Board President's XI drew their warm-up game on Saturday.

The South African batsman scored 112 as the Proteas made 302 all out on the second and final day at the Brabourne Stadium in the western Indian city of Mumbai.

South Africa started the day on 46-2 after India recorded 296 in their first innings on Friday.

De Villiers hit 18 fours during his 131-ball knock. His ton came just days after he scored 119 to help the tourists clinch the one-day international series.

Dane Vilas was South Africa's second-highest scorer on Saturday, recording 54 runs, and Shardul Thakur was the star of the Indian XI's bowling attack, claiming four wickets.

India were 92-0 in their second innings at the close of play. Lokesh Rahul scored 43 while Cheteshwar Pujara was 49 not out.

The game was a warm-up for the four-Test series starting next week. South Africa have already won the Twenty20 series 2-0 and the one-day international series 3-2.
