Injured Khawaja Ruled Out of New Zealand Third Test

Perth: Australian top-order batsman Usman Khawaja has been ruled of the final Test of the three-match series against New Zealand after suffering from hamstring injury during day three of the second Test at Perth.

Confirming the news, team physio David Beakley said that Khawaja has suffered from moderate hamstring muscle strain, so he would not be available at least for the next two Test matches i.e in Adelaide and the match against the West Indies in Hobart.

Shaun Marsh and Cameron Bancroft could replace the injured Khawaja in the upcoming Tests.

Khawaja contributed a brilliant 121 runs in the second Test and 174 runs in the first Test against New Zealand.

The final Test will be the first day and night Test to be played from November 27.
