Dhaka: Zimbabwe will play a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh in October, followed by a two-Test series in November.
The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will host its maiden Test match when Zimbabwe tour Bangladesh in October-November 2018. The 14,000-seater stadium in North-Eastern Bangladesh will host the first Test between the teams beginning on November 3 with the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka hosting the second game starting November 11.
The two-Test series will be preceded by a three-match One-Day International series with the second and third games of the series played in Chittagong following the opener in Dhaka.
According to the itinerary made public by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Zimbabwe will arrive in Bangladesh on October 16 and will play two practice games, a 50-over game before the ODIs and a three-day game before the Tests.
The bilateral series was originally scheduled to be played in January 2019. But a revision had to be made after the Bangladesh Premier League was moved to January to accommodate the general elections.
