Auckland: New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced its 2018-19 home summer schedule, and it features double-headers against the Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams.
Virat Kohli’s Team India and the women’s squad are slated to land in New Zealand in late January 2019, with the men facing the Blackcaps for five ODIs and three T20Is followed by three ODIs and three T20Is between the women’s team and the White Ferns.
New Zealand's home season will begin with a two-Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on December 15, 2018. Sri Lanka, who will arrive in New Zealand in early December to play a warm-up game, will also take on the hosts in three ODIs and a one-off T20I. Sri Lanka' second test starting on Boxing day.
The New Zealand home summer would also include a three-Test series against Bangladesh in March, after three ODIs. All their games would be played in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. New Zealand had expressed their wish to play the opening Test at Seddon Park as a day-night fixture but couldn't get the permission of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
