Raza back in Zimbabwe squad for Bangladesh tour

Harare: Sikandar Raza had been initially excluded from the squad over contractual issues, and will play no part in the limited-overs tour of South Africa, which will begin with the first ODI on Sunday, 30 September.

However, after talks with Zimbabwe Cricket’s contracts committee, the situation has been resolved, the board said in a statement on Tuesday, 25 September.

Givemore Makoni, the ZC acting Managing Director, said they were “pleased” to have “one of our best players” back.

Zimbabwe will play three ODIs and as many Twenty20 Internationals in South Africa from Sunday. They will then travel to Bangladesh for a series comprising two Tests and three ODIs, starting with the first ODI on 21 October.
