Australia v New Zealand 1st Test, 2nd Day - Aus 131/6 vs NZ

Brisbane: Chirs Martin picked up three wickets in second innings of Australia and Oz struggle again in second innings. Simon Katich good knock unbeaten 67 fight against Newzealand bowlers. Mathew Hyden out first ball of second innings without open his account.

Mitchell Johnson grabbed four wickets but missed the perfect chance for a hat-trick as New Zealand were bundled out for a disappointing 156 shortly before tea. The excellent efforts of Johnson and his fast-bowling colleagues gave Australia a first-innings lead of 58 and an early tea was taken after Johnson finished with a career-best 4 for 30.

New Zealand's reply lasted exactly 50 overs when Chris Martin was bowled by Stuart Clark for one, leaving Daniel Flynn stranded on 39 not out. Ross Taylor was New Zealand's top scorer with 40. New Zealand lost six for 48 in the middle session after being 108 for four at lunch.
