New South Wales v T&T, CL final, Hyderabad

CLT20 Final - New South Wales Face Unbeaten Trinidad and Tobago

Hyderabad: Both New South Wales and Trinidad and Tobago have been the teams to beat, and indeed, the match they played against each other was a pulsating thriller.

It is fitting that these two sides will contest the finals at Hyderabad.

Adrian Barath and Kieron Pollard, Twenty20 cricket can be a tricky platform to judge real talent but Barath, in two sparkling innings, has shown that he has the talent to play for West Indies. He indulged himself in the last league game and played a sparkling cameo in a pressure-cooker scenario in the semi-final.

Brett Lee mostly just gets two overs with the new ball but he has bowled with venom to get the early strikes for his team. He has got swing and has not been shy in using the short ball. He will be given the licence to go after the flamboyant T&T top order and it should make for a fascinating watching experience.

Team news

Trinidad and Tobago: Not only have they won every match they have played in, but they have won every heart with the brand of cricket they have displayed. They enter the final as the only unbeaten team, with the confidence of having beaten their opponents in the only match played between the two sides so far.

Squad (likely): Lendl Simmons, William Perkins, Adrian Barath, Dwayne Bravo, Daren Ganga (capt), Sherwin Ganga, Ravi Rampaul, Navin Stewart, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Dave Mohammed

NSW: They discipline sticks out easily but they possess players such as Brett Lee and their two dynamic and unconventional openers, Phillip Hughes and David Warner, who ooze flair. It is in fact a battle between a disciplined team that has added flair and a team oozing style that has added some structure and order.

Squad (from): David Warner, Phillip Hughes, Simon Katich (capt), Daniel Smith (wk), Moises Henriques, Doug Bollinger, Brett Lee, Ben Rohrer, Nathan Hauritz, Steven Smith, Stuart Clark
