India v Sri Lanka, 2nd ODI, Nagpur

Dilshan, Mathews Help Lanka Series Level

Nagpur: After another close contest, this time it's Sri Lanka who have emerged out victorious by 3 wickets with 5 balls to spare. The visitors did pretty well to chase down the target of 302 and this was the first time they did so on a sub-continent wicket. The 5-match series is now levelled at 1-1.

Once again it was Dilshan (123) who played a fabulous knock while the other batsmen contributed in parts to help their side win this game.

Indian bowlers were taken on right from the outset of the second innings but they came back strongly towards the end with the strikes by Zaheer Khan (3/63).

It was definitely going close in the end but some fielding errors gave the visitors an easy passage. The innings by injured Mathews (37*) proved crucial in the end as he ensured victory for his side.
