Lee & Maharoof Back, Australia Bat

Sydney: Stand-in Australian captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and chose to bat against Sri Lanka in the sixth ODI of the tri-series at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

With Michael Clarke out nursing a hamstring strain and the selectors not too confident about vice-captain David Warner, Ponting has been handed the job he quit last year.

Michael Hussey is back in, for Michael Clarke. Brett Lee is back too, Ryan Harris goes out. Xavier Doherty has recovered well, and keeps his spot, so Holland won't play for Australia.

Couple of changes for Sri Lanka too. Upul Tharanga's disastrous form has caught up with him. Lahiru Thirimanne resurfaces in the XI, and I wonder if he will open. Farveez Maharoof gets a game for SL after a long time, in Sachithra Senanayake's place.
