MS Dhoni Retains Top Spot in ICC ODI Rankings

Dubai: India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni stayed on top of the batting charts but none of the bowlers figure in the top 10 in the latest ICC ODI Player Rankings released on Monday (May 04).

The last One-dayer India played was way back on March 14 against New Zealand in Auckland. They occupy the third spot in the team rankings with 122 points, two behind Australia and four off first placed South Africa.

Dhoni, who guided the team to a 3-1 ODI series victory over the Kiwis, has a 33-point lead over second-placed Chris Gayle of the West Indies.

Yuvraj Singh gained one place to fourth in the table while Virender Sehwag, who remained at seventh, is the other Indian in the top 10.

Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir remained stationary at 13th and 17th place, respectively.

Among bowlers, Zaheer Khan slipped one place to 16th. The table is headed by Sri Lankan Nuwan Kulasekara.

Yuvraj, meanwhile stayed third in the all-rounders list which is led by Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh.
