Johannesburg: Match overs were reduced to 14 overs due to heavy rain before that start of the match. Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field 1st.

South Africa had a good opening and they scored 43 in 4.1 overs when the 1st wicket fell. AB De Villairs scored the maximum 36 (26) from the South African side. They scored a total of 118 for 7 in 14 overs.

Bangladesh had a fine start, their 1st wicket fell at 25 (3.1). Tamim Iqbal scored maximum of 24 runs from 24 balls. Bangladesh lost its wickets at regular intervals. They scored a total of 109/8 in 14 overs.

Abdur Razzak bowled a tidy line, picking up 4 for 16, but Bangladesh's batsmen couldn't chase down 122. South Africa won the match by 12 runs (D/L Method).
