West Indies Squad For England Tour

Bridgetown (Barbados): Fast bowler Powell was left out of the 17-man squad on Tuesday after taking 25 wickets at 60.80 in his last 14 Tests, even though West Indies beat England 1-0 in a five-Test series that ended last month in the Caribbean.

All-rounder Ryan Hinds was also left out after a lackluster performance in the final Test against England, when he took match figures of three wickets for 183 runs in the teams' fourth straight draw.

Grenada fast bowler Nelon Pascal could make his debut in the first Test at Lord's starting May 6 after he was called up to replace Powell, while newcomers Dale Richards and Andrew Richardson were also included.

The second Test is at Chester-le-Street the following week before the tourists try to avenge their 3-2 home loss to England in the recent One-dayers. West Indies win Test series by 1-0, after England all out on 51 in the second of the first Test.
