Younus Khan Gain on Top Place, Gambhir Top-ranked Indian

Dubai: Pakistan skipper Younus Khan replaced West Indies' prolific batsman Shivnarain Chanderpaul at the top of the table.

Indian batting stars Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman rose a rung each to be placed at 13th and 15th positions respectively in the latest ICC Test batsman rankings.

Gautam Gambhir continues to be India's highest ranked player being steady at fourth spot in the list, which also has explosive opener Virender Sehwag at number 20.

The Guyanese left-hander scored just four runs in the first Test against England and, as a result, has fallen back to tied second position with Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara.

In the bowlers list, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has retained his sixth place while paceman Zaheer Khan gained one place to be at 11th.

Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka reigns supreme in the bowling chart followed by Dale Steyn of South Africa and Australia's Mitchell Johnson.

Jacques Kallis continues to lead the all-rounders' list.
