The Sri Lanka cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates in September and October 2017 to play two Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Pakistan cricket team. The second Test match was played as a day/night fixture in Dubai, the first day/night Test for Sri Lanka, which also hosted a day-night Test against West Indies in 2016-17. Sri Lanka won 2-match Test series by 2-0. This was the Pakistan first series defeat in UAE.

Pakistan won the 5-match ODI series 5-0 and 3-match T20 series by 3-0. Sri Lanka became the first side to be whitewashed 5-0 three times in ODIs in the same calendar year, after previously losing to South Africa in January and India in August.

The fixtures were confirmed, with the final T20I match of the series to be played in Lahore after Sri Lanka Cricket' president Thilanga Sumathipala said in August to play at least one game in Pakistan.
