ICC Women World Cup 2013

Women World Cup 2013 Schedule

Mumbai: The 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Women's Cricket World Cup, and will be hosted by India for the third time. India hosted the world cup in 1978 and 1997. Explore complete schedule and updates of Women WC 2013.

Four teams, Australia, England, India and New Zealand; had already qualified for this tournament. They were joined by Sri Lanka, South Africa, Pakistan and West Indies through the 2011 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Bangladesh.

The eight qualifying teams were split into two groups for the group stage, with traditional rivals Australia and New Zealand drawn together in Group B alongside South Africa and the Pakistan, while India and West Indies were drawn together in Group A along with England and Sri Lanka.

The top three teams in each group moved on to the Super Six stage which is scored as a complete round-robin. But each of the six teams played only three new matches, rather than five—each group's three representatives carried forward their result against each other rather than play again. The top two teams in the final table qualified for the final.

Cuttack has been chosen as the second venue after Gujarat Cricket Association expressed its unavailability to host the Pakistan women's team during the International Cricket Council Women's World Cup.
