India v Australia, 2nd Test, Hyderabad, 4th day

India 2-0 up After Australia Collapse

Hyderabad: India beat Australia by an innings and 135 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad on Tuesday, take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 4-match series.

Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets as Australia were bundled out for 131 runs in their second innings.

This is the first time in Test cricket history that Australia declared their first innings and then collpased to an innings defeat.

This is Australia's fifth Test defeat in a row.

Ashwin took his fourth wicket when he had Matthew Wade caught by Virender Sehwag at first slip.

Ashwin bowled a nice loopy delivery outside off that spun away after landing, Wade lunged way forward for a prod but was done in by the away turn. He ended up poking at it and got an outside edge to first slip where Sehwag made no mistake.

Jadeja got his third wicket by a quicker delivery that spun away after landing, Siddle stayed in his crease and attempted to push it tamely, but got an outside edge, the ball hit Dhoni's gloves, then hit his pads and lobbed up, Kohli at gully stuck his left hand out and pouched it.

Australia lost their seventh wicket when R Ashwin trapped Glenn Maxwell plumb in front of the wicket.

Ashwin bowled a carrom ball on middle and leg that spun away a bit. Maxwell stayed in his crease and looked to clip but missed and got rapped on the back pad.

Aussies lost their sixth wicket when Matthew Wade pushed a R Ashwin delivery to the covers and set off for a risky single, Jadeja ran in from cover, fumbled a bit but recovered well and speared in a rocket like throw which knocked down the stumps at the striker's end to run out Henriques.

Jadeja took his second wicket when he pushed a delivery a bit quicker outside off that spun back in a little. Cowan went back and looked to cut but was late on to it and got an outside edge as the ball hit Dhoni's pads and lobbed to first slip where Sehwag accepted a dolly.

Jadeja bowled Clarke with a brilliant delivery that was pitched on the full on middle, Clarke lunged forward for a defensive shot but the ball spun away viciously beating the Aussie captain by the turn and uprooted the off-stump.

Ishant Sharma struck in the third over of the fourth day as he had Shane Watson caught behind by MS Dhoni.

Ishant bowled a swinging delivery down the leg side, Watson flicked it and Dhoni dived to his left to pouch it. This is Ishant's first wicket in this series.
