Cardiff Loose Test Match Against West Indies in 2012

London: Cardiff has been stripped of a Test in next year's series between England and West Indies after failing to pay the fee for staging an international match last month.

The England and Wales Cricket Board has punished Glamorgan, a county side which plays its home matches in the Welsh capital, for being late in paying the fee for hosting the first Test between England and Sri Lanka from May 26-30.

The ECB says Glamorgan will be given more time to make the payment but the England-West Indies match in May 2012 will be put back out to tender.

ECB chief executive David Collier says on Thursday that Cardiff can still host one-day internationals against India this year and South Africa next year.
