Curator Satisfied at Pitch Preparation For India-Aus ODI

Kochi: Tamil Nadu Cricket Association curator K Parthasarthy on Wednesday expressed satisfaction with the preparation of the pitch for the India-Australia ODI at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on October 17.

"I am satisfied. I am coming here for the first time after relaying of the outfield. The top dressing of the pitch has been given, but rolling has to be done", he told reporters after inspecting the pitch.

But due to incessant rains, parts of the ground are waterlogged. Parthasarthy was here on the request of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA).

KCA sources said the rolling would be done as soon as the rains subsides.

The stadium, being renovated at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore, can accommodate about 55,000 spectators.
