India v New Zealand, 2nd ODI, Jaipur

Dew Factor May Play Big Role in Second One-dayer

Jaipur: The D-factor might prove decisive once again. As the dew starts coming down on Wednesday evening, the team batting second will surely find life a lot easier.

The dew is particularly heavy in Jaipur this time and calling right at the toss might prove to be one of the best decisions that either skipper will take when India take on New Zealand in the second One-dayer, a day/night affair at Sawai Mansingh Stadium (SMS).

The two teams arrived in Jaipur to a traditional welcome on Monday afternoon. The players were whisked away in bullet-proof buses from the Sanganer Airport's runway. A motley crowd, which included some folk dancers, greeted the teams at the hotel. The security of course, ensured that none of them got too close to the players.

With India winning the first One-Dayer in Guwahati, New Zealand would be keen to bounce back. They would be hoping to have the services of experienced duo, Daniel Vettori and Brendon McCullum. The two of them missed the first One-Dayer due to back problems.

Even though India are without their stars - Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh have all been rested - the likes of Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and R Ashwin ensured that they would not be missed in Guwahati.

Incidentally, New Zealanders have never played a One-dayer in Jaipur. India, on the hand, have played here 10 times, winning six matches.
