Four Debut for Oz as South Africa Elect to Bat

Cape Town: New South African captain Hashim Amla won the toss and decided to bat in the first Twenty20 international against Australia at Newlands on Thursday.

Australia's team included three new caps in wicketkeeper Matthew Wade and fast bowlers James Pattinson and Patrick Cummins.

Richard Levi, the only uncapped player in the South African squad, was not included in the home side's final eleven.

The weather was mild and overcast for the first match of a tour which includes two Twenty20 internationals, three one-day internationals and two Test matches.
