Hyderabad to Host Second NZ Test

Mumbai: It took 22 years for a Test match to return to the City and the long wait will end when it hosts the second of the three-match series against New Zealand from November 12-16 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association got this assurance from the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar.

"We are 99.9 per cent sure," he added. The former Test off-spinner, who has been lobbying hard for the revival of Test cricket in the city, said there were a few technical glitches but they would be resolved by the month end. "Manohar said that we will be given the letter at the board's AGM this month end," he said.
