McCullum Makes 206 Against Pakistan in Warm-up Game

Whangarei: Brendon McCullum has made 206, his second double century in three months to lead a New Zealand XI to 342-4 by stumps on the first day of a three-day game against Pakistan.

McCullum batted for six hours Sunday, providing the majority of runs in a 161-run partnership with Tim McIntosh (51) for the first wicket and 86 for the second with BJ Watling (24).

His innings on Sunday followed his 225 against India in the second Test at Hyderabad on Nov. 16.

The New Zealand XI was effectively a shadow Test side, composed of many of the players who will meet Pakistan in the first Test at Hamilton from Jan. 7.
