England v Australia, 5th Test, The Oval

Oz Plans to Spoil Flintoff's Farewell Party Says Clarke

London: Australia vice-captain Michael Clarke has warned Andrew Flintoff, who is playing his last Test match, that his Aussie team-mates plan to spoil his farewell party.

"Freddie is an amazing payer and has been in all forms of cricket, that's why England are so desperate for him to play in this game. We've seen that in the three Tests he has played in this series. He brings a lot to their side with his fierce competitiveness," The Sun quoted Clarke, as saying.

"He's a great guy and a real champion. We have so much respect for him and hope he plays this last Test match, he deserves that. But, I hope we spoil the party with a win," he added.

The 28-year-old further said that Australians have a huge respect for Freddie as a player, but he claimed the respect will be reserved for after the match.

"We have the ultimate respect for him. But, for us personally, we must make sure our minds are solely on the game," Clarke said.

"After that, I'm sure we'll go into the dressing room and have a beer with him to celebrate a great career," he added.
