Sialkot Stallions Get Place in 2012 Champions League

Lahore: The Champions League T20 governing council has approved the inclusion of the Sialkot Stallions in this year's tournament to be held in October.

Sialkot will be the first domestic team from Pakistan to take part in the event. Sundar Raman, a member of the CLT20's technical committee, announced the decision on Twitter. "CLT to invite Sialkot stallions for this year's edition," Raman tweeted.

Earlier this month the BCCI, the league's largest stakeholder, announced that it would inform the tournament's governing council ahead of today's meeting that it had no objection to the participation of a team from Pakistan.
