BCCI Announces Ind-SL Series Itinerary

Mumbai: The BCCI have announced the tour itinerary for the series between India and Sri Lanka.

This tour has been hastily arranged following the withdrawal of the West Indies team from the tour to India due to a pay dispute with the WICB.

The Sri Lankans will kick-start their tour with a warm-up game against India A on October 30 at the CCI in Mumbai. The five-match ODI series will start on November 2 with the first ODI at Cuttack.

The second ODI will be played at Ahmedabad while the third will be played on November 09 in Hyderabad. The fourth ODI will be played on November 13 in Kolkata while the fifth ODI will be played in Ranchi on November 16. All the games will be day-night encounters.

Cuttack was scheduled to host the only T20 international against West Indies while Kolkata was to stage the fifth ODI. Also, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Ahmedabad were decided as the venues for the three Tests, out of which two were allotted an ODI each against Sri Lanka. Bangalore was replaced by Ranchi as the venue for the fifth ODI.
