Aus v Eng, 2nd match, Hobart

England looks to maintain ODI momentum in tri-series

Hobart: Having beaten New Zealand in the opening match of the Trans-Tasman Twenty20 Tri-series, Australia will hope to make the most of the momentum when they face England in the second match of the tournament.

The Australians are without Steve Smith and the rest of the men who will play the upcoming Test series in South Africa with the exception of David Warner, who is leading the side.

The pressure will be on Warner after he scored only 73 runs in the recent five-match One-Day International series against England and also fell cheaply in the tri-series opener.

However, with Aaron Finch around and a hard-hitting middle-order – Chris Lynn, Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis – in place, Australia do have an explosive edge.

The pace department will once again be led by Andrew Tye, the star of the game against New Zealand, and Billy Stanlake, who also put on an exceptional show. With Adam Zampa, Ashton Agar and Kane Richardson also in the mix, there is enough variety in Warner’s ranks.

For England, Tom Curran's brilliance with the ball as he returned 5/35 meant that Australia couldn’t pull off a chase of 260 in the final ODI and he could again be a big factor because of his ability to move the ball at pace.
