Kolkata: Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik will be a part of the ICC World XI team for the T20 charity match at the Lord’s on May 31, confirmed BCCI’s acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhury.
”Hardik and DK will be part of the World XI team for the charity match,” Chaudhury told reporters on the sidelines of the ICC meeting.
Pandya are Karthik are currently playing the Vivo IPL 2018 for Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.
Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, Shoiab Malik, Shahid Afridi, Thisara Perera and Tamim Iqbal have also confirmed their participation in the tournament.
The match is being organised to raise funds for stadium in the Caribbean, which were damaged due to hurricanes last year.
The venues that will benefit include the Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua, the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica, the AO Shirley Recreation Ground in the British Virgin Islands and the Carib Lumber Ball Park in St. Maarten.
