India Cricket Team For First Two Test Against Aussies Announced

Mumbai: Most players the 14-member squad that recently toured Sri Lanka, where Indian played its last Test, are likely to retain the slots. Since the squad for the first two Test against the Aussie will comprise only 14 players it reduces the scope for too many changes.

A back-up to openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir is highly unlikely. Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar, Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma and Zaheer Khan complete the list.

Only surpise by selectors is Amit Mishra include in 15-man squad for the first two Tests against Australia. Tamil Nadu batsman S Badrinath also call-up. In squad seven batsmen, one wicketkeeper, four fast bowlers and three spinners.

India's selectors have picked Sourav Ganguly in a 15-man squad for the first two Tests against Australia. There were also call-ups for Tamil Nadu batsman S Badrinath and Haryana legspinner Amit Mishra, who played three one-day internationals in 2003.
