Australia in India 2008, Second Test

India v Australia 2nd Test at Mohali, October 17-21, 2008

Mohali: Rain and fitness clouds hung over the Mohali Test as India and Australia set about preparing the best they could on the eve of the second Test of the series.

Morning showers washed out any likelihood of a decent outdoor nets sessions and Anil Kumble sought to keep the guessing game going, refusing to divulge whether he could be fit enough to lead and bowl but making it obvious he was keen.

Niether is the pitch, which hasn't been that quick any-way in recent seasons. Persistent preparations, and Pointing made it clear it wouldn't aid the pacers much, saying. "It will be a hard slog. It's been made to suit the spinners."

Weather Glorious weather is forecast for all five days of the Test. A maximum of 29oC and minimum of 16oC is predicted. Mornings will nice and cool and fast bowlers will able to run in hard and bowl spells.
Pitch Report The pitch at the PCA Stadium is arguably one of the most sporting turfs in the country. Mohali track likely to assist pacers. The track could behave differently this time around as prolonged mansoon has hampered pitch and ground preparation.
