South Africa Beat Kenya By 159 Runs In 1st ODI, Bloemfontein

Bloemfontein: South Africa beat ICC member team Keyna by 159 runs 1st ODI. As expected South Africa won the match quite easily. Having won the toss, and elected to bat, their openers started well and then Dumini compiled a matured innings batting in the middle overs before Boucher hit those big sixes at the end. Chasing a target of over 300 was always going to be tough for Kenya and they never looked like having a go at it. Unusualy for South Africa, the spinners picked up 7 wickets with Captain Botha taking 4. Hope you enjoyed this match. We'll be back for the second ODI on Sunday. Until then its goodbye from all of us here..

Jean-Paul Duminy is the Man of the Match for his all-round efforts. He has scored 90 runs and picked up 3 wickets.

South Africa have far sterner tests on the horizon - tests with and without a capital 't' - but they avoided a potential season-opening howler by walloping their neighbours Kenya by 160 runs in the first of two ODIs in Bloemfontein. There were contrasting fifties from JP Duminy and Jacques Kallis while Johan Botha chipped in with four economical wickets.

Brief Score: South Africa 336 for 7 (Duminy 90, Kallis 71, Boucher 57*) beat Kenya 177 (Obanda 38, Obuya 35) by 159 runs
