BCCI Announces 2 Crore Cash Award for Team India

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced a cash award of Rs. 2 crore for the Indian cricket team for their emphatic 3-0 win in the just-concluded series against South Africa.

"BCCI announces an award of Rs 2 crores to the Indian Cricket Team for their 3-0 series win against South Africa," BCCI wrote on Twitter.

India overcame a dogged resistance from the South Africans to defeat the tourists by a massive 337 runs in the fourth match at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium and consequently climbed 10 places to move into second position in the ICC Test rankings.

Chasing an improbable 481 for win, South Africa were bundled out for 143 despite producing a stupendous resistance for the last two days.
