Bangladesh v England, 2nd Test, Mirpur, day 3

Mehedi, Shakib Delivers Historic Win for Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh claimed their first Test win over England as the tourists collapsed after tea on day three of the second Test in Dhaka on Saturday.

England lost 10 wickets for 64 runs as they went from 100-0 to 164 all out with 19-year-old Mehedi Hasan taking 6-77 and Shakib al Hasan 4-49.

They were chasing 273 after finally dismissing the hosts for 296 following four dropped catches.

The hosts' 108-run win means the two-match series finished 1-1.

They had previously only beaten Zimbabwe and West Indies in Test matches.

England needed their highest successful run chase in Asia and looked well set after a century opening partnership between Alastair Cook and Ben Duckett but lost all 10 wickets in 22.5 overs after tea.
