West Indies to play two Tests in Zimbabwe

Harare: Zimbabwe will host Windies in a two-match Test series later this month, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Sunday.

The first Test is scheduled to begin on October 21, with the second one taking place from October 29. Both games will be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Windies, expected to arrive on October 11, will take on Zimbabwe A in a three-day practice match before the Tests.

The Caribbean side is pretty match-fit, having just completed a long tour of the United Kingdom which involved three Tests, a solitary Twenty20 International and five One-Day Internationals against England, and one ODI against Ireland. The Ireland ODI and one of the five against England were washed out.

Meanwhile, Graeme Cremer's side is also a confident bunch. The team clinched the five-match ODI series 3-2 in Sri Lanka in July and lost a hard-fought Test by four wickets.

Itinerary
Three-day match v Zimbabwe A: October 15 to 17 at Bulawayo Athletic Club
First Test: October 21 to 25 at Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo
Second Test: October 29 to November 2 at Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo

This will be Windies' second tour to Zimbabwe in last 12 months. The team had travelled to the country in November last year to feature in a tri-series, which also included Sri Lanka.
