Trent Boult wins Sir Richard Hadlee Medal 2017-18

Auckland: Trent Boult was named New Zealand’s cricketer of the year at the New Zealand Cricket Awards function on Wednesday and awarded the prestigious Sir Richard Hadlee Medal, the top honour in the country’s cricket set-up.

Boult, who also won the Men's Test International Player of the Year award, got the top award for his 77 wickets across formats in the period under consideration.

Ross Taylor, meanwhile, won the award for ODI Player of the Year and also received the Redpath Cup for best first-class batsman, while Neil Wagner won the Winsor Cup for best first-class bowler for the second year in a row.

Colin Munro was expectedly named the Men’s T20 International Player of the Year.

Sophie Devine, who has been in the middle of a purple patch, especially with the bat, was named the Women’s ODI and Twenty20 Player of the Year.
