Rohit, Dhawan tons crush Pakistan by nine wickets

India 238 for 1 (Dhawan 114, Rohit 111*) beat Pakistan 237 for 7 (Malik 78, Bumrah 2-29) by nine wickets.

Dubai: Thanks to the brilliant innings of Shikhar Dhawan (114) and Rohit Sharma (111), India has defeated Pakistan.

In the Super-4 match of the Asia Cup played on Sunday, Team India defeated their arch-rivals Pakistan by 9 wickets.

Chasing a target of 238 runs by Pakistan, Shikhar Dhawan and captain Rohit Sharma got the best start. But the third ball of the 34th over of Team India was the first shock in the form of Dhawan. He got run out. He hit 100 fours in 100 balls, with 16 fours and two sixes. For the first wicket, he teamed up with Rohit for the best partnership of 210. This is Asia's second largest partnership in the form of opener.

Earlier, on the brink of Shoaib Malik (78), Pakistan scored 237 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

In the match, Pakistan felt the first blow as opener Imam-ul-Haq. Rohit sought a review after the umpire's dismissal of LBW by Umpires, after which Imam (10) LBW was adjudged out.

After this, Chinnaman Kuldeep Yadav scored the second opener Fakhr Jamat (31) of Pakistan with the crease. Kuldeep gave the second blow to LBW by scoring a blistering start.

The third and the biggest blow to Pakistan in the first over of Ravindra Jadeja was in the first over. In the 16th over of Jadeja, Babar Azam (9) was run out in the hands of Yuswendra Chahal to steal runs.

Shoaib Malik, who came with the help of Captain Sarfraj Ahmed on crease, made spectacular batting, adding 107 runs for the fourth wicket. But in the 8th over of Kuldeep, Sarfaraz played a bad shot and kept his catch captain Rohit out. Sarfraz played an important innings of 66 runs in 66 balls with the help of two fours.

Asif Ali, who came to bat on the crease, gave away the half-century to Shoaib Malik and added the scoreboard to 38 runs. But in the rotation of Bumrahah's ball ball, he got his cat from wicketkeeper Dhoni. Malik faced 90 balls, with the help of four fours and two sixes, he scored a magnificent 78 runs.
