Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam completed his maiden 10-wicket haul in Tests, finishing the second innings with 5-62 while Mehidy Hasan grabbed 3-48.
Skipper Hamilton Masakadza top-scored with 48 for Zimbabwe.
The hosts were 26 for no loss in their second innings when bad light stopped play.
