Nissanka and Bandara earns maiden call-up for West Indies Tour

Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced a 20-member squad for the three-match one-day internationals followed by three-match T20 internationals against West Indies.

The T20 series starts on March 3 and ends on March 7 with all three games played at Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua while the ODIs will start on March 10 and ends on March 14 with all the three games played at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.

The Sri Lanka Cricket also named Suranga Lakmal as the replacement in the limited-overs series for Lahiru Kumara who tested positive on Monday for the coronavirus.

Sri Lanka will play a two-match test series after the limited over games at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium with the first test starting on March 21.

The Board hasn’t announced the squad for the two Tests yet.

Dasun Shanaka has been appointed the Sri Lanka men's team's new T20I captain, replacing Lasith Malinga, who is understood to be out of contention for selection, having not trained with the squad in the past few months. He has previously led the T20 side - on the 2019 tour to Pakistan, where Sri Lanka won 3-0.
