New Zealand fight but India level series after nervy win

India 101 for 4 (Suryakumar 26*) beat New Zealand 99 for 8 (Santner 19*, Arshdeep 2-7) by 6 wickets

Lucknow: Team India beat New Zealand by 6 wickets in the second match of T20 series.

With this, the Indian team has achieved a 1-1 draw in the 3-match series.

The third match of the series will be played on February 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

This is the first match in India's T20 history, in which no six has come. There were 14 fours in the match. Of these, 6 Kiwi and 8 Indian batsmen collected.

Batting first after winning the toss, the New Zealand team could only manage 99 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs at the Bharat Ratna Atal Vihari Vajpayee Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday.

Captain Mitchell Santner scored an unbeaten 19 runs.

Michael Bracewell and Mark Champman were dismissed for 14–14 and openers Finn Allen and Dwayne Conway scored 11–11.

Arshdeep Singh took two wickets from India. Captain Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar got one wicket each.

India achieved the target of 100 runs by losing 4 wickets with one ball to spare.

Suryakumar Yadav scored the highest unbeaten 26 runs. Ishaan Kishan added 19 runs. Michael Bracewell and Ish Sodhi got one wicket each.
