Albie Morkel Return As SA Opt to Bat

Paarl: South Africa captain AB de Villiers won the toss and decided to bat in the first one-day international against Sri Lanka at Boland Park on Wednesday.

On a scorching hot day it was no surprise that new South African captain AB de Villiers opted to bat first in the day-night game on what was expected to be an easy-paced pitch.

It is the first match in a five-match series.
