Aussies Out to Continue Dominance, England Play For Pride

Sydney: Australia will be looking to pile on the misery while England will be playing for pride when the Commonwealth Bank Series shifts to the SCG for Game 6 on Wednesday.

The home side holds an unassailable 4-1 lead in the seven-match series following their comprehensive 51-run win at the Gabba.

But vice-captain Cameron White insists the job is far from done as his side looks to finish the rout in Sydney and Perth.

Firebrand Shaun Tait is expected to return from a three-match layoff with a buttocks injury suffered in Hobart, while batsman Shaun Marsh will miss the remainder of the series with a low grade hamstring injury.

There is strong speculation selectors will rest in-form paceman Brett Lee to accommodate Tait's return, while South Australian Callum Ferguson has been added to the squad for the final two games of the series for the injured Marsh.

But the 26-game veteran is no certainty to play, with back-up wicket-keeper Tim Paine also a strong chance to see his first action of the series as a specialist batsman.

The visitors also have their fair share of injury woes with pace duo Chris Tremlett (side) and Ajmal Shahzad (hamstring) both set to miss the SCG clash.

Liam Plunkett will join the squad for the final match of the series in Perth after answering an SOS call from selectors, while Graeme Swann (knee and back) and Tim Bresnan (calf) have already returned home in a bid to be ready for next month's World Cup.

Batting all-rounder Luke Wright appears likely to come in for Shahzad as the tourists look to bolster their faltering batting line-up.

Wright, who made 32 off 46 deliveries in his only appearance of the series in Game 3 at the same ground, is confident the side can salvage some pride in the penultimate match of the series.

All-rounder Luke Wright says England will be playing for pride in the final two matches of the one-day international series against Australia.

The visitors can no longer win the seven-match series after Sunday's convincing 51-run loss at the Gabba saw Australia take an unassailable 4-1 lead.

Despite already conceding the series, Wright insists morale in the England camp remains high and says the tourists still have plenty to play for ahead of next month's World Cup.
