England Fined For Slow Over Rate in Final Test

Dubai: England players have been fined for their team's slow over rate in the final Test at the Wanderers which South Africa won by an innings and 74 runs on Sunday.

The tourists were ruled to be one over short of their target after time allowances were taken into consideration, an International Cricket Council statement said on Monday.

England captain Andrew Strauss was fined 20 percent of his match fee and his teammates received 10 percent fines.

"If Strauss is found guilty of two further minor over rate offences in Tests over the next 12 months, he will receive a one-match suspension as per the new, enhanced ICC code of conduct," the statement said.
