India Set 281-run Target For West Indies

Bridgetown: India declared their second innings at 269/6 and set 281-run target for West Indies on the final day of the rain-hit second Test in Bridgetown on Saturday.

India skipper MS Dhoni declared their second innings with an overall lead of 280 runs and will get 83 overs to force a result on the fifth and final day of the match.

India lost Dhoni (5), VVS Laxman (87) and Virat Kohli (27) in quick succession in the morning session of the final day to Edwards.

Pacer Fidel Edwards (5-76) struck thrice to jolt the Indian second innings in the first session of the final day. Edwards finished with five wickets for the innings after he dismissed Dravid and Mukund on the fourth day.

Edwards dismissed India skipper soon after removing Laxman in his previous over to reduce the visitors to 253/6 after they resumed at 229/3 on Day 5.

Laxman, who scored 85 in the first innings, hit eight fours in his 188-ball 87 knock as he missed to post a century in both innings.
