Ireland Beat Canada to Enter ICC WCL Div 1 Final

Amstelveen: Defending champions Ireland beat Canada by five wickets at Amstelveen on Wednesday to book their place in the First Division final the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cricket League Division 1.

Ireland restricted Canada to 154 for nine and then saw John Mooney make 44 not out and Kevin O'Brien score an unbeaten 43 as they finished on 155 for five with more than 10 overs left.

Ireland will face the winners of the group game between Afghanistan and Scotland in the final after both sides triumphed on Wednesday.

Afghanistan beat the Netherlands by six wickets despite Tom Cooper scoring a maiden one-day international century for the hosts in a total of 202 for eight.
