New Zealand Call up Tuffey Against Sri Lanka

Mumbai: New Zealand have decided to call up experienced pacer Daryl Tuffey as cover for the injured Kyle Mills for the remainder of the World Cup.

Mills limped off in the game against Canada which New Zealand won at the Wankhede Stadium here on Sunday because of a quadricep strain.

The Kiwis, who have already qualified for the quarterfinals with four wins from five games, will also miss out on the services of their regular captain and inspirational left-arm-spinner Daniel Vettori for Friday's clash against Sri Lanka. Vettori damaged his right knee against Pakistan in Pallekele last week.

"Both Mills and Dan are coming along fine with their injuries at the moment. At the moment, we are looking at having both of them fit for the quarterfinals which means they might not quite be ready for the Sri Lanka game." stand-in captain Ross Taylor said adding "left-arm-spinner Luke Woodcock has been drafted into the 12-man against Sri Lanka."
