Amsterdam: Scotland will face defending champions Ireland in the First Division final of the ICC World Cricket League after a close-fought two-wicket win over Afghanistan on Friday.
Ireland had secured their place in Saturday's final after beating Canada by five wickets on Wednesday ahead of their final match against the Netherlands which they won by 39 runs.
Scotland bowled out Afghanistan for 141 runs. They then suffered a late-order collapse before booking their place in the final by two wickets with 6.1 overs to spare.
Ireland, in their last group game, were 177 all out and appeared set for defeat as the Netherlands cruised to 132 for four.
But then the hosts, who had previously been beaten by six wickets by Afghanistan, collapsed to leave Ireland going into the final on a high.
