Rajasthan v Delhi, 6th match, Ahmedabad

Sehwag's Fireworks Sets up Easy Win for Delhi

Ahmedabad: Furious Virender Sehwag helped Delhi Daredevils outplay Rajasthan Royals by six wickets in the sixth match of the IPL.
Delhi have cruised to a 6-wicket victory over Jaipur to make it two wins out of their first two matches.

142 was a less than challenging total to begin with but Virender Sehwag was firing on all cylinders and got them off to a flying start. He dominated the bowling and put the game firmly in Delhi's favour at the halfway mark.

They eventually got to their target in the 18th over and are looking like very strong contenders yet again. Rajasthan Royals were poor in all departments including their fielding. They will need to bounce back strongly after defeats in their first two matches.

Delhi Daredevils opener Virender Sehwag declared man of the match.

Earlier, Gautam Gambhir, the Delhi Daredevils captain, has won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Royals

Delhi Daredevils delivered a combined effort with the ball to limit Rajasthan Royals to 141 for 6, giving themselves an excellent chance of making it two in two in the tournament.

Rajasthan's attacking start was dented by a testing first spell by Dirk Nannes and the early introduction of Amit Mishra, leaving an inexperienced middle order to contend with the disciplined Delhi attack who gave them little opportunity to open up.

Abhishek Jhunjhunwala brought up his maiden IPL fifty, but facing a batting line-up comprising the most prolific batsmen in international cricket today, and the dew likely to do its bit, Rajasthan have reason to worry.

141 for 6 (Jhunjhunwala 53*, Dogra 29)
Delhi Daredevils: 142 for 4 (Sehwag 75, Karthik 23*, Mascarenhas 2-31)
Result: Delhi Daredevils won by 6-wickets
MOM: Virender Sehwag (Delhi Daredevils)
