Test's Promotion on ICC Agenda

Johannesburg: The groupings and seedings of 2011 World Cup, Future Tours Programme post 2012 and promotion of Test cricket would be high on agenda during the ICC Board meeting, commencing in Johannesburg from Monday.

The two-day parley would be chaired by ICC President David Morgan.

"The Board will consider the seedings and groupings for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, which will take place in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka," ICC said in a statement.

"The ICC Board will continue its work in formulating a FTP for full member international cricket after 2012. As part of that process it will consider a draft FTP presented by the ICC Chief Executives' Committee and look at ways in which greater context can be given to Test, ODI and T20I cricket," the statement said.

The Board will also hear from its Principal Adviser I S Bindra on the latest steps to promote cricket in the United States and China.

The Board will also consider the approval of an enhanced ICC Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Code and Anti-Racism Code during the meeting.

Besides, the Board will hear updates from a number of task teams, including those charged with looking into the areas of Zimbabwe, Pakistan and general security around international cricket.
